Alex Olson, Justin Brock, Jake Johnson, David Clark and Reese Forbes skate the Holy Land. Photo Gallery at Quiksilver.
Bill Strobeck dropped this piece on YouTube the other day. Mellow goodness mixed with the straight up ridiculous. Jake Johnson, Alex Olson, Andrew Allen and Dylan Rieder ollie impossibles over a bench. A big bench, it’s retarded good.
Crailtap put their videos supporting (RED) on World AIDS Day. I think Andy Jenkins sums it up best saying, “It’s pretty cool that something we do on a day to day basis can help people in Africa with HIV and AIDS get the medicine that they need.”
Videos with the team at the (RED) Girl Park, Anthony Pappalardo, Mike Carroll, and Eric Koston round out a nice humanitarian effort from the Girl/Chocolate Family. Good skating, from some of your favorites, for a good cause…well done. It’s a big world out there, get involved.
Quiksilver put up Blair Alley’s coverage of the Tony Hawk Show from the Grand Palais in Paris, France. Some good stuff of Alex Olson from the qualifiers.
The Tony Hawk Show at the Grand Palais in Paris, France also had an invite only street contest over the weekend. The finals jam consisted of Eero Antilla, Chris Pfanner, Kris Vile, Julien Bechet, Dom Dietrich, Alex Olson and Bastien Salabanzi. Bastien crushed the course and took home the 6000 Euro first place.
There is no question that Bastien Salabanzi is a talented skateboarder, I doubt there is more than a handful of people on the planet that could land a cab double flip down 12 stairs, but I’m surprised he hasn’t come up with his own version of an end-zone dance at this point to celebrate the landing of his tricks. Mako Urabe’s point to the sky move looks downright tame compared to this madness.
Jake Johnson is good at skateboarding.
