The Get By

HBO hired Josh Stewart and RB Umali to shoot The Get By, a New York skateboarding documentary to support their show How To Make It In America. It features a Who’s Who of the New York skateboarding scene and is by far the best mainstream produced skateboarding doc ever. The show has a recurring character named Wilfredo Gomez played by none other than Bayonne native and NY OG Loc Javier Nunez.

Andrew Petillo Out Yo Mind Edit On Theories

Josh Stewart got Andrew Petillo to put together a smoking East Coast edit for Theories of Atlantis with an interview to boot. Do yourself a favor and peep it, twice.

Andrew Petillo has been treating us to some of the best filming on the east coast for years. Whether it’s filming for Habitat or contributing to independent videos, pretty much every video coming out of the east in the past 5 years would be a lot shorter and worse if not for this NJ Scumbag. Between traveling the world filming with his best friends and producing his sick little online edits, the dudes got a good thing going. So when I recently tried to hypnotize him into producing an edit exclusively for T.O.A, I was pretty shocked when it actually worked….. -Josh Stewart

MIA Video Trailer By Josh Stewart

via Theories of Atlantis

With most of the east coast buried under a good 3 feet of snow right now, it seems only appropriate that most of the country is going to be fixated on the warm climate of Miami, Florida today. That’s right, most of you jocks are gonna be stuffing your fat faces with chips and dip and screaming like little girls while Stuperbowl XLIV mesmorizes you in your living room. But you might as well take a break during the halftime show to watch this world premiere trailer to get a different taste of Miami.

Be patient, it takes a second to load, but it’s worth it.

Bobby Puleo On BobShirt

BobShirt has an interview with the one and only Bobby Puleo.

One of the many things I love about skating is how accessible our heroes are. We all have stories about seeing random pros at our local spots. Being fortunate enough to have grown up a less-than-1-hour train ride from NYC, I have an abundance of such tales. One dude in particular, who I’ve been running into at the banks, the seaport, and tri-state skateparks in the winter for the last 15 years, is Bob Puleo. Even got to play him in pool one night at Cherry Tavern. Just a few months ago, I found myself skating under the BQE in Brooklyn, and who shows up? Yup, Bob Puleo. We say what’s up, exchange names like we always do, I mention Bobshirt, and the following interview is what transpired.
