Plan B has done a great job of putting together a retrospective microsite of Danny Way’s 20 years as a professional skateboarder. Check out photos, magazine, covers, the 20 year commemorative graphics by Wes Humpston and a teaser for the 20 year tribute video due this November. Last but not least, watch 11 of the video parts that have had a huge hand in shaping skateboarding’s evolution over the past two decades. Since he blew minds in H-Street’s Hokus Pokus in 1989, Danny has been consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible on a skateboard. For anyone who only knows Danny from the Mega Ramp madness, the video part section of the site is required viewing. Pull up a chair and enjoy watching progression personified.
I’m a little late on this but if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out, it’s nuts. The Lizard King goes for broke and does the Mega Ramp gap. Numerous tries and well, you’ll see. Check it out here. Just don’t look at the comments. Seen on Skate Daily.
