Getting lucky is great, but when your luck involves escaping a shark encounter unscathed, it’s time to hit the lotto. Check out Mike Lopez‘ footage and interview of Eric Geiselman’s close encounter at Surfline.
John Ivers is someone that I don’t know but because of the people that talk so highly of him, I respect. Through my limited travels and conversations with people this summer his name continuously kept coming up. I can only assume that Mr. Ivers is the ultimate BMX rat. Traveling, shredding, and making good impressions on people. Below are a couple videos featuring John and the photo above is from the Summer PhotoBook.

Please do yourself a favor and watch this video, the announcer is unreal and there’s some classic footage in there. Everyone from Taj and Joe Rich to TJ Lavin and Todd Lyons thunderclapping the roll-in. There’s also some cool clips of NorCal dirt jumping legend, Joey Garcia. Solid just posted some photos of Joey. They also allude to the fact that Joey may be going to the worlds. That would be sick. I had that Ride BMX poster of him doing a rocket x-up at that skatepark in NorCal on my bedroom wall for so long. It would be nice to have more Joey Garcia in BMX. The photo above is from San Jose BMX.
New video from Marco Svizzero from a 420 Eve jam up in NorCal. There’s some cool clips but there’s also mud wrestling in it. Not my thing but you can check it out here regardless.
I watched this video of Ryan Nyquist’s brother, Shea, this morning and it reminded me how awesome of a bikerider Ryan is. He’s a true freestyler. I love his rocket variations, like the rocket curved wallride in Drop The Hammer. Check it out here. Speaking of rocket tricks, anyone remember Brian Foster’s rocket 360 tables? BMX Plus! reported that he was doing them back when I cared about reading the Inside Scoop. Thinking about Nyquist also reminded me of Haro’s Monoque ads, like the one that had a “racetrack” in the office, which coincidentally reminds me of this video from Jackson at the Canyon. There’s also a new video of them putting some fresh marks on the trails which you can view below. Place looks awesome. The “S” berm looks so fun.
Sasquatch Canyon is awesome. Tons of cool Nor Cal trails shit and the like. Go give it a look today. My good friend Matt Gaspar put me onto this new feature that they have, I Wanna Party With That Dude. First up is Joe Breeze, MTB pioneer. The photo that accompanies is pretty awesome. Go check it out here.
